Urban Legends
Odds, trends and simplicity. In a nutshell that is what I see in the CFBMatrix. It is that simplicity that allows me to blend your ‘eyeball test’ with the reality of the numbers. Clean, simple and to the point.
While the CFBMatrix has it’s three keys for creating pre-season odds for every football team, I love trying to unlock assumptions that fans have with regards to aspects of college football. It is that curiousity that got the Matrix rolling. I was listening to Colin Cowherd locally here on 1080 The Fan 7 years ago and he got me thinking. My first Urban Legend was figuring out how important recruiting ranking was to teams getting to the national title game. I update that one every year because it has been right for 8 straight seasons.
