Be a part of College Football Now!

Vote  on the Big Ten cover of the first ever CFBMatrix Digital Preview Magazine.

If you have ever wanted to have a hand in creating a piece of college football here you go!  As you know, the CFBMatrix is launching the first fully digital and interactive CFB preview magazine series optimized for tablets and touchscreen PCs through Apple, Google and Amazon.  We want to do things different and this is one of them.

We let the fans pick the cover

We listed our top guy from each team, but go ahead and write one in as well. The player with the most votes is going to be our 2014 cover.  You can also stuff the ballot box on our Facebook page (click here).  There will be a cover vote for all five of our conference previews so vote on the other pages as well.

COLLECTORS: As you know, our preview magazines will be fully digital and interactive and available through Amazon, iTunes, Google Reader and Kindle so we will not have ‘collectors’ editions on the shelf, EXCEPT a limited edition, custom printed cover for each conference. These will be individually numbered. The Athletic Department will receive the #1 framed print from our partner and memorabilia framing experts, Collection Connection. Fans will be able to purchase the print and have the options of getting it mailed for their collection or having it framed exactly like the one in the Athletic Department. If you want to be notified when this available email us MatrixMag@CFBMatrix.com or Follow Dave or Collection Connection on Twitter and they will also post when the prints and framing is available to fans and collectors.

someone needs to look at Nebraska…everything is leading me to believe they are using a bot like a year or two ago when they got busted using one and got removed….cheating bums!!

      April 2, 2014 at 5:59 pm

We dont cheat, that was Texas A&M that was using the bot, get your facts straight. We are just dedicated fans. What are you gonna complain that Penn State is using a bot unless your a Penn state fan and are just trying to complain.

        April 2, 2014 at 8:23 pm

        Yep that was A&M.

Definitley A&M. Nebraska just spreads the word and recruits to help the voting out

“dedicated fans”? We are at least at the level of “frighteningly obsessed fans.” But ya, I’m here because people posted it online.

Nebraska’s never used a bot we just don’t have anything better to do than vote for our guys. Do remember Miami got caught using a bot by espn last year and after that NU ran away with it

I don’t recall Northwestern winning any poll.

      a) I understand that your mad because your favorite is not going to win b) don’t be a poor sport because Nebraska has the best fans in college athletics c) its really rather sad that you don’t have your facts straight but automatically jump to the conclusion that Nebraska is using a bot to win and has previously used a bot to win. Nebraska students fans and athletes just spread the word very well!

      April 3, 2014 at 11:45 am

Sorry to tell you, that wasn’t Nebraska that got busted

    • GoCats

      April 3, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Yeah actually Nebraska has been known to use BOTs. There was a poll last year where the votes were so grossly inflated they had to keep blocking the bots and adjusting the totals. Nebraska bot kept changing their IP address and getting around it, so they ended the poll early and declared Penn State the winner.

How can anyone say “my team doesn’t use bots”, that’s pretty funny. I mean, how would you know?

That was A&M. Get your facts right

Dave- How many IP’s are you seeing dedicated to Nebraska and PSU voting?

    • Dave Bartoo

      April 3, 2014 at 8:44 am

Over 7k. Only 4 IPS have over 1k votes each. A bot will generate about 15 per minute or 900 in an hour. Plus the site numbers on link-ins for PSU and Neb are really high. Those fans are doing some work. IMO it looks pretty clean. Same with the SEC. Only one in the ACC has been flagged.

I don’t think i’m one of those 4 but I bet I am up there pretty high. I’m a teacher and it’s state testing week so there is a lot of down time. Very fast internet here at the school as well. Keep it going huskers!

Also I voted 3 times and I am not a bot

    April 3, 2014 at 8:54 am

Nebraska was caught with a vote bot last year in a different poll. They adjusted the votes and Nebraska tried again. They ended up ending the poll early because they couldn’t keep blocking them. Nebraska has some great fans but as you can see from the comments here they also have some buttheads.

      April 3, 2014 at 10:30 am

Wow, so insightful…Most fans of every fan base are decent people it’s always the 1 and 2’s that mess it up. And not one of these comments left by I assume are Nebraska fans, I would say have expressed anything more than friendly banter and denying an unfounded rumor in a comments section on an internet voting poll.

six hundred vote swing for Penn State in ten minutes and they are not using a bot? Something seems a little fishy here.

I just got blocked, not a bot… are others kicked off too?

  13. Melanie

    April 3, 2014 at 7:59 pm

Sad that all some people have to do is accuse each others team of using bots. I don’t know anything about any team using bots, I just know that I’m a loyal Husker fan. Look at the list, we are all in the same conference. How about if we all take a deep breath and wish each other luck?

    • Dave Bartoo

      April 3, 2014 at 9:24 pm

Its OK Melanie. Almost every team uses them. I have killed them by the dozens. But I dont make a big deal of it as those fans dont represent the true fan base. Those that are here having fun and love anything CFB year round is great to host, if even for a few days. I’ll gate keep to make it as fair as possible for all fans voting the right way. The one I left running in one of the conferences has been voting every 6.5 sec for nearly 48 hours. Its funny seeing it at night when one else is voting. Its not hurting a result though.

To those claiming the Huskers are using Bots, please attach links. I have voted close to a thousand times (not a bot) and given small gifts to those (other husker fans) that spend 5 minutes voting as many times as possible. A snickers bar goes a long ways. If you have an issue, find a tissue.

    • Dave Bartoo

      April 3, 2014 at 10:10 pm

And FWIW your vote total as this moment is 711. The top 2 Husker voters are near 2k each. But keep in mind with a 10 sec refresh rate one can get about 350-400 votes per hour.

Fwiw – the Husker athletic department retweeted a tweet for this poll. Plus, we got a Ameer for Heisman Facebook page (over 10k likes) to post it on their page
